The Latin Sonnet
Latin is a language so ver' neat
Though many people said "That language is so dead"
'Twas taught by a teacher so short and sweet
Who said that those people were not well-read
She taught us the case of Vocative
Some of us learned Ablative of Means
While the rest of the class was talkitive
And some of us were just big Latin fiends
The masks in a movie had us boisterous
A movie where Dido was a boy
Spartacus asked us "snails or oysters?"
And we saw a few Helens of Troy
Of one exclaimed our favorite 'lil teach-
"'Snot ever' day you find a Troj'n on the beach!"
